Contractors with the Southern California Gas Company ruptured a gas line in Hollywood Saturday afternoon, prompting authorities to issue evacuations and close several busy streets.

According to NBC Los Angeles, the gas leak occurred near the intersection of Yucca Street and Cahuenga Boulevard around 11:30 a.m., and over 100 people and 10 pets were evacuated from nearby buildings.

No injuries were reported.

The Los Angeles Fire Department said at 1:50 p.m. that the leak from a 6 inch gas line would take four hours to repair.
