The first drag convention in history took place at the Los Angeles Convention Center this weekend.
RuPaul's DragCon featured more than 100 vendors and exhibitors, panel discussions, and screenings over two days. Stars from the reality competition television show "RuPaul's Drag Race" were in attendance, signing autographs and taking photos with fans.
The convention kicks off Gay Pride festivities throughout Los Angeles. The convention celebrates "the art of drag and self expression for all!"
In the keynote speech, RuPaul said that it was created to give his fans and LGBT people, in general, to take the online connections they've made to create bonds in-person.
"You see each other on Twitter, but this time you get to meet each other in person," he said. "I'm excited for the ripple effect this will have in pop culture for years to come."
