A brush fire in Lancaster has spread to 300 acres near the Antelope Valley California Poppy Reserve. No structures are threatened and no injuries have been reported.

About 200 firefighters have been sent to fight the Poppy Fire in Lancaster, The Associated Press is reporting. The fire was 70 percent contained Friday afternoon.

Los Angeles County Fire Inspector Chris Reade told the AP high winds of up to 27 mph are were making it harder to contain the flames.

No evacuations have been ordered.
