Two lanes of the 405 were reopened at 3 p.m. and two remained closed as an investigation continued, ABC7 reports.
2:28 p.m.: All lanes closed after crash
All northbound lanes of the 405 Freeway were closed Sunday afternoon after a fatal collision in Van Nuys.
The collision was reported near Sherman Way and the lanes will remain closed "until further notice," according to a tweet sent at 1:18 p.m. by the California Highway Patrol.
The multi-vehicle wreck killed a father and child in one vehicle and sent six others to the hospital, the Los Angeles Fire Department said on Twitter.
