People using LAX to fly to or arrive from the east are facing more delays Saturday.
In total, 117 flights were delayed or cancelled Saturday due to snow storms in the Midwest and on the East Coast, LAX said in a statement.
Almost all of the cancelled arriving and departing flights were to or from cities impacted by the winter storm, primarily Washington, D.C., New York, Atlanta, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Nashville, and Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina.
Nearly 200 flights were cancelled or delayed at LAX Friday.
Washington, D.C. residents have already seen 13 inches of snowfall, and are expected to get another 10 inches Saturday. Maryland authorities say at least one person has died while shoveling snow.
Passengers and anyone picking up passengers are advised to check a flight’s status before heading to the airport.
Real-time flight status can be checked here on LAX’s website.
