Alhambra police are asking for the public’s help in identifying three men suspected of being involved in a series of residential burglaries reported since April 1.
At least three, and possibly as many as 10 burglaries have been committed by the same individuals, police said.
Police released photos taken of three men during one of the recent break-ins in western Alhambra, where the homeowner’s security cameras caught the suspects as they began to break into the house.
The burglars disabled the home alarm system but closed circuit cameras recorded them in the back yard just before they entered the house, police said. No one was home at the time of the incident.
Police said the burglars are targeting single-family homes in the late afternoon and evening hours. On at least two occasions, the burglars have disabled the home alarm system.
Police described the three men being sought as African American, in their late teens to early 20s, about 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, with thin builds. One man is known to have a distinct goatee, police said.
The suspects use a dark-colored sedan, possibly an older Honda Accord, police said.
Anyone with information that may help police is encouraged to call Detective Jack Ng at 626-570-5187. Callers can remain anonymous.
