Summer is flying by. End July with a bang by doing something especially out of the ordinary, like celebrating Halloween or going to a panel discussion about the Power Rangers. No matter what you choose, we've go a little something for everyone looking to escape the mundane. 

1. Luckyrice: LA Feast

Start your weekend with a splurge, and taste the best Asian food L.A. has to offer. 3. The Rumpus Lo-Fi Los Angeles Film Festival

Catch James Franco's film "After Adderall" along with other titles like, "Search Engines," "S&M Sally," and "Creedmoria" at the Rumpus Film Festival. There will also be two different panel discussion at the fest that is proudly, "queer, feminist, independent and unafraid."

4. Downtown Burbank Car Classic

Beep beep! It's time for downtown Burbank's 5th annual car show. See custom, celebrity and exotic cars and motorcycles. There will also be food, music and vendor booths.

5. Tiki Night 2016

6. Halloween Festival

Are you a die-hard Halloween lover? Do jack-o-lanterns make you feel warm inside? This Midsummer Scream will make all of your dreams come true. Or nightmares, rather.  There will be roaming monsters, frightening interactive attractions and panel discussions about your favorite local scares, like Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios.

7. Yestercon

Visit the days of your childhood at this festival dedicated to make you feel like a kid again. From '90s cartoon characters to classic Nintendo games, expect to be surrounded by passion for media of old. There will also be a set of panel discussions including one on the Power Rangers.

8. Swiss Fair

Transport to Switzerland for a celebration of Swiss National Day at this weekend's upcoming fair. The fixings will be complete with Birchermüesli and bratwurst, beer and wine. Enjoy entertainment from Swiss Harmonie Singers and accordion players, plus, you could win raffle prizes like plane tickets to Switzerland.
