Westside motorists, get ready for Biden street closures

Motorists driving in Santa Monica, Westwood and West Los Angeles should be prepared for traffic tie-ups Thursday night and Friday morning. Streets will be closed for the motorcade of Vice President Joe Biden, who will be here for a Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee fundraiser.

Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton is also scheduled to be in Beverly Hills on Thursday, attending a fundraiser hosted by Casey Wasserman, Jeffrey Katzenberg and Haim
Saban, which will feature a performance by Elton John.

The fundraiser Biden is attending is being held at undisclosed private residence. He is not expected to attend the Clinton fundraiser, which benefits the Hillary Victory Fund.

The Los Angeles Police Department released the following advisory on areas where closures are expected for Biden's motorcade, and that motorists may want to avoid:
