If you're confused about the difference between Memorial Day and Veterans Day, you aren't the only one.

According to the Department of Veteran Affairs, Memorial Day honors military personnel who died while serving our country while Veterans Day honors all living veterans, whether they served during war or peacetime.

This Memorial Day weekend, several locations across Southern California will honor fallen service members.

In addition to the spots listed below, Green Hills Memorial Park in Palos Verdes will hold a remembrance on Monday complete with skydivers, flyovers of military aircraft and a Memorial Day parade. The event is free.
