Firefighters battled a wildland fire named the Mart Fire on Tuesday near the cities of Highland and San Bernardino, which has burned hundreds of acres, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
Mandatory evacuations were issued for east of Orchard Road, north of Highland Avenue and west of Church Street by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.
The fire burned near Highland Avenue at Highway 330. Highway 330 was closed from Interstate 210 to Live Oak Drive near Running Springs.
The fire had burned 300 acres as of shortly after 5 p.m.
