No one was injured when a small plane crash-landed onto a Glendale street on Friday night. The airplane was carrying two people — a pilot and a passenger — who both escaped injury.
The two University of Redlands students were headed to Burbank shortly before 10 p.m. when the single-engine Mooney M20E lost power, according to KABC-TV.
Passenger Alan Kassis said the pilot looked for a place as the airplane glided toward the ground and he made an emergency landing call to Burbank Airport.
The plane clipped a tree and hit several parked vehicles.
"We're a little banged up," Kassis told KABC. "We're lucky to be alive."
No one on the ground was injured.
