A gunman killed one and injured another at a business in Long Beach. It appears he then turned the gun on himself and has died from his wounds, according to police.
Long Beach police responded to the scene of the shooting around 2:25 p.m. Friday at a law office near 300 E. San Antonio Dr. They found the two deceased men, including the suspect.
"The subject believed to be the suspect appears to have died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound," said Long Beach Police Department Sgt. Brad Johnson.
A third male victim who was injured in his upper torso drove himself to a hospital before police arrived. He is in serious condition but is expected to survive, according to police.
All three were employees at a law firm. Homicide detectives arrived at the scene and are investigating the shooting as an incident of "workplace violence."
Video showed people running from an unmarked building shouting that there was a shooting inside.
The building is home to several law offices, but authorities have not specified which firm it was.
The shooting brought a massive response from police, who filled the surrounding blocks after the shooting.
