Los Angeles is getting some early funding for the 2028 Olympics, including $160 million allocated to funding youth sports programs.

Mayor Eric Garcetti unveiled a new program inspired by those funds. SwimLA is devoted to teaching kids across the city to swim for little to no cost. the city hopes to use that Olympic funding to pay for those lessons.
