Long Beach Police admit to using text app that deletes messages

The department says it will stop using the app while it investigates whether it violates its record retention policies. State law says any relevant records must be kept at least two years. An L.A. County deputy public defender wants to revisit Long Beach homicide cases, since homicide detectives had the app on their iPhones.
