Report says black LAUSD students disproportionately arrested, cited, and diverted by school police

One-quarter of L.A. School Police arrests, citations, and diversions involved black students, even though African-Americans make up less than 10 percent of all LAUSD students, according to a new report out of UCLA's Bunche Center for African American Studies' Million Dollar Hoods project. 

The Los Angeles School Police Department, the largest force of its kind in the country, said in a statement that it’s still reviewing the report's findings.
