Military helicopters flying over Los Angeles cause a social media stir

If you heard or saw military helicopters flying in formation over Southern California on Tuesday, you weren't alone.

A number of people took to social media to wonder what was going on.

As KPCC's Libby Denkmann explains, those were 22 U.S. Army Apache and Blackhawk helicopters, returning from a training mission at Fort Irwin in the Mojave Desert.
