Report: California ranks near the bottom for the well-being of babies

The well-being of California babies and toddlers ranks in the bottom half of U.S. states, according to a new report from the early childhood development nonprofit Zero to Three and the research organization Child Trends.

The first-ever State of Babies Yearbook creates a national profile looking at nearly 60 indicators, including health care access and early education opportunities.
