 Scientists have some bad news -  there’s a one in four chance mountain lions living in the Santa Monica and Santa Ana mountains could be extinct in 50 years.

It’s no secret that our mountain lion population is in trouble. They’re hemmed in by major freeways and threatened by inbreeding, cars and even rat poison. A new study from multiple universities and the National Park Service gives them a grim outcome - and says there’s really only one good solution.
