LA plans to accept new pot shop license applications by September

Nearly a year and a half after California legalized recreational cannabis, candidates for the city of Los Angeles’ “social equity” program will have to wait a while longer for their chance to apply for a limited number of pot shop licenses. The City Council voted Tuesday to open the application window by early September. Many social equity candidates say they can't afford to keep waiting.
