Los Angeles Uber drivers are going on strike Wednesday, joining protesters in cities across the country to call for better pay and working conditions ahead of the company's highly anticipated IPO on Friday.

Local organizers say more than 4,000 drivers will turn off their apps for 24 hours. In the lead up to the strike, some drivers talked to passengers about the changes they'd like to see.
