Finding time for spiritual solace or faithful communion often requires a type of physical refuge, and architecture can be the key to transporting us to an other-worldly place.

Whether it’s the stained glass windows of the Sainte-Chapelle in Paris, or the glistening pool of the Golden Temple in Amritsar, faith doesn’t necessarily need to be a requirement to admire the enchanting beauty of these sanctuaries. There are also plenty of mesmerizing cathedrals, mosques, monasteries, temples and more all throughout throughout Southern California.
