Family, friends and fans are gathering today in downtown Los Angeles for a special memorial service honoring Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna Bryant.
The service at Staples Center serves as a final goodbye for a city that has been in mourning since it was announced the basketball legend, his daughter, and seven others were killed in a helicopter crash on January 26. Bryant, who only played for the Los Angeles Lakers the entirety of his 20 year career in the NBA, left behind a legacy that has been felt all around the world. Bryant and his daughter were laid to rest earlier this month in a private ceremony. KPCC reporters are posted all throughout the city, talking with fans about what Bryant meant to them and the impact he’s had on Los Angeles.
Today on AirTalk, guest host Steven Cueveas and TakeTwo’s A.
