The Iranian government has restricted the use of Telegram and Instagram, which have been used to organise protests. The "temporary" restrictions were imposed to "maintain tranquillity", according to state media. The country’s president, Hassan Rouhani, says Iranians have a right to protest, but not to cause disorder.
