The holiday movie season is in full swing and awards season is just ahead on the horizon.

Studios and distributors big and small will be putting out some of their biggest blockbusters to take advantage of holiday movie crowds as well as some of their Oscar hopefuls in advance of the December 31st deadline for Academy Award consideration. Our FilmWeek critics will share some of the movies still to release this year, plus we’ll give you an early look at how some of the big Oscar categories are shaping up with only a month left for films to qualify for consideration
