Proponents of Prop 19, which would legalize marijuana in California, point to the economic benefits - tax revenues, employment, new business opportunities. And at least in the case of medical marijuana, there has been a small stimulant effect on the economy.

Some newspapers, especially so-called alternative weeklies, have enjoyed something of a windfall, finding a new source of advertising revenue in medical marijuana clinics.

One paper, the Colorado Springs Independent, is selling so much new advertising, they've been able to expand their staff and dedicate a reporter to the marijauna beat.

Bryce Crawford joins Madeleine from the Independent's offices in Colorado Springs to talk about this new source of revenue.
