The suicide of teenager Phoebe Prince in January of 2010 has become an emblematic case in a rash of teen suicides blamed on bullying. The 15-year old Irish immigrant hanged herself in her parents apartment in South Hadley, Massachusetts just months after starting school there. Prosecutors said she was the victim of relentless bullying and six teenagers were charged in connection with her death. This week five of those teens have reached a plea deal and several have already pleaded guilty to harassment. Emily Bazelon wrote a three part series on the death of Phoebe Prince and spent months reporting on the case for Slate.com. She tells us more about the latest developments.
