Aleks Syntek began his musical career as a kid in Mexico writing lyrics for himself. That eventually paid off, because by the time he was in his teens, he began to perform professionally and has been doing so for more than 20 years, across Latin America.

He's worked on films, numerous albums, and in multiple bands. Along the way, the Mexican-born artist has been nominated for six Latin Grammys showcasing a synth/pop indie style with hits such as "La Tormenta."

And while he's mostly existed in the indie pop space his entire career, he's changing things up a bit with his new album - "Romantico Desliz." Syntek is hoping that the new sound will help him appeal to a broader audience, and to possibly help him break through into the United States.
