President Obama, New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, Senator Rand Paul, and Hilary Clinton all weighed in on the vaccine debate this week, sparking talk that the measles outbreak will become an issue in the 2016 presidential election.

As the disease spreads, it's perhaps no surprise that politicians are weighing in, but health policies on vaccines are historically left to the states to decide.
