Las Posadas

Every year, from December 16th to the 24th, Mexican communities across Southern California celebrate the holiday season with Las Posadas with revelers recreating the journey of Mary and Joseph as they crossed Bethlehem looking for shelter on the eve of Jesus' birth. Earlier this week, Take Two contributor Betto Arcos took part in a Posada happening in South LA.

A group in South LA, organized by “Peregrinos Unidos en Familia” – Pilgrims United in Family - participates in the annual Posada, recreating the journey of Mary and Joseph as they searched for shelter on the eve of Jesus's birth.
