Affordable Housing Loss

This can mean displacement for thousands of vulnerable tenants, prompting the city to scramble for a solution.

Kicking Gas Campaign
Arnold Schwarzenegger stars in a new ad campaign for electric vehicles called Kicking Gas. The campaign just launched and is the result of a public-private partnership of more than three dozen agencies (including the California Air Resources Board, General Motors, Southern California Edison) that was established last year to promote EVs in the state.

New Airbnb Rules
Monday marks the beginning of LA's new rules for Airbnb hosts. Those rules say hosts are required to register with the city. They also need to pay Los Angeles a fee of $89. We give a rundown on what else hosts will need to do before they can roll out the welcome mat.
