Long Beach Universal Basic Income

The LA County Board of Supervisors, yesterday, considered a tough question – what to do about the LA Homeless Services Authority, or LAHSA. It oversees much of the “homeless services” spending in L.A. County, and for people looking to blame someone or something for the rise of homelessness in the county, LAHSA is an obvious target. And so those supervisors voted unanimously to get the ball rolling in reforming it.

Mountain Lion Dens
The National Park Service biologists announced today that FIVE mountain lion dens have been discovered in our local mountains - including a total 13 kittens. Officials note that it’s a lot of little critters considering so much of the region burned during the Woolsey Fire two years ago.
