CA Wildfires Update
We start today in Juniper Hills ... where the Bobcat Fire continues to threaten homes. It's now burned more than 100-thousand acres and is still only 15 percent contained. Officials say the fire is one of the largest ever in L.A. County and it's not yet clear how many homes have been lost because of it. Juniper Hills is one community that's been affected. We also discuss fires in other areas.
- Robin Rosenthal is an artist and documentary filmmaker who lives there. She evacuated last week and starts by telling us about the community where she's lived for 20 years.

'The Way I See It'
With less than 50 days to go before the Presidential election, a new documentary reveals what the job of Commander in Chief actually looks like from the inside... Or at least, what it looked like when Obama was in office. "The Way I see It," from filmmaker Dawn Porter, tells the story of Pete Souza - the Chief Official White House photographer for President Obama. Souza had also been one of the White House photographers for President Reagan. Souza has a backgound as a photojournalist, which informed his work covering the President.

2020 Virtual Emmys
Last night, the Emmys went virtual. Jimmy Kimmel hosted from a largely empty Staples Center. Winners accepted their trophies from wherever they were in the world. And it pretty much went off without a hitch. The Pop TV show "Schitt's Creek," that's spelled S-C-H-I-T-T-S, racked up a ton of awards in the Comedy categories. The HBO drama series "Succession" and the HBO limited series "Watchmen" --both got a number of awards in their respective categories. So how did Hollywood's first pandemic awards show go? And, if we still have pandemic protocols in early 2021, is there anything that the Oscar producers can learn from last night's event?
