THE TRUE STORY OF LAUREL & HARDY

(Starts at 1:00)

The new movie "Stan & Ollie" tells a little known story about Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy, the legendary comedy duo known as "Laurel and Hardy," who made hugely popular short and feature-length films together from 1921 to 1951. In 1953, after some disagreements over contracts and work styles had come between them, and when both were in need of money, the two reunited for a stage show tour of Great Britain. Jon S. Baird directed "Stan & Ollie," about the UK tour and how, despite some setbacks, it ultimately helped the two realize how much they meant to each other. In the film, John C. Reilly plays Oliver Hardy and Steve Coogan plays Stan Laurel. Reilly and Baird spoke with The Frame about bringing Laurel and Hardy back to life for "Stan & Ollie."
